All puppies are from parents who have completed the required CTCA health tests to be classified as breedable. Before going to their new homes, all puppies will have received two health exams, at seven and ten weeks of age, a certificate of health and their first two sets of vaccinations. Our contract includes a 12 month health guarantee, the seller agrees to replace the pup, should the puppy develop a serious (life impairing) genetic health defect within the first 12 months of life. New owners are to take the puppy to their own veterinarian right after delivery to verify the Great Lakes Cotons health report and to establish a relationship with the puppies new health care provider. The puppies leave for their forever homes when they are 10 weeks old. They will have been exposed to a variety of sights, sounds, smells and many new experiences. They will be taken for car rides, exposed to various noises, they will have played with children and adults of all ages and sizes. SOCIALIZATION Please note that the behavior of any given dog is based upon the dog's heredity and its environment. Poor early socialization can lead to problems for any dog of any breed. Please recognize that you will be the next step in this puppy's socialization and training. We believe early socialization is very important and require first time Coton puppy owners to enroll their puppy in a puppy socialization/training class. When training our Cotons we use only positive training methods. |

I WILL NOT SHIP MY PUPPIES UNLESS THEY ARE IN THE CABIN WITH THEIR NEW FAMILY There could be a flight delay or worse, the plane could be diverted to another airport. Puppies may be picked up from our home, or we will meet you at either of Chicago's airports; O'hare International (ORD) or Midway (MDW) or another mutually agreed upon location. Puppies may be carried on an airplane in an airline approved carrier and placed under the seat in front of you. In 2011, 35 pets died on airlines last year. Please read below article. In 2010, seven out of 14 puppies died on an American Airlines flight from Tusla, Oklahoma, to Chicago after it was delayed in hot weather.
